Great Place To Buy Video Games Online!
65But There Are So Many!
With so many places to buy video games online it's hard to find a place that is good. So you end up just buying the game from the developer's website. Why should you settle for just that though when you can have so much more? With Steam you can not only buy almost all of your video games, but also have a place to store them all, and have a community to play your games with!
This is of course though a place for PC games only if you did not realize. Steam is a program developed by Valve if you are familiar with them. Some of their work includes Half Life and Team Fortress 2. There are so many great things about this service. Some of the main features are:
Steam's Official Website
- Steam's Official Webpage.
Here you can do all of the explained. Buy all of your games online with a lightweight program that also allows you to chat with friends!
Steam
- Chat with friends via instant message
- Have a place to buy and store all of your games enabling an organized and fast way to access them
- You get to enjoy faster downloads on your games, along with them auto updating.
- You get cheaper deals on your video games and have access holiday specials.
- Have in-game support allowing you to chat with friends without having to minimize your game.
- You can join community groups allowing you to always have someone to play with, and have the latest news on all of your games.
- *New* Take screenshots in game and have them displayed on your profile for all of your friends to see.
- You can access all of your system's specs via the options menu
- It's free!
You can access most of this stuff from Steam's website, but the best way to take advantage of this is to download the whole program from the website. It is a lightweight program that does not take up much space. Like most instant messaging programs there is also the ability to chat over it with voice. There are the occasional problems with it, but for the most part it is a great addition to the service. Not to mention that it can also be used in game, and does not usually affect latency. Another great benefit of this program is that you can get access to your game's betas, and the occasional free weekend for games.
Hope this helps some of you who are looking for a more organized way to store your games, and has plenty of benefits!

Nice Hub, but there's more to this than meets the eye. VALVe are infamous for "VALVe time", which is due to the constant delays for promised releases. While this is just an annoyance than a gamebreaker, they lose customers to the following:
1-time use code. So if you plan to get a game second-hand as a hard copy, you're screwed.
TF2 Promotions, and the way they're advertised. In-game, on the store, notifications popping up. It's repetitive and it's not even a premium feature to have them removed.
Slow updating.
Lack of customer feedback.
Barely any security, and what you have is an annoyance.
Still, good Hub and I recommend Steam, but I barely use it now ^^
